Linde’s Stargon™ blends are a family of argon-based blends with additions of some level of carbon dioxide, oxygen and helium to enhance arc performance during welding–resulting in high quality welds. Each Stargon blend has been developed to meet the demands of your specific MIG/MAG (GMAW) process while improving productivity and lowering your cost per foot of weld.
Manufacturers who join varying thicknesses of carbon, low alloy, or stainless steels using the MIG/MAG process:
Linde’s argon-based Stargon blends offers from start to finish. That means you can use all the gas delivered, there’s no residual gas waste from stratification and you’ll reduce costs. Consistency results from our Starblend™ mixing system, designed specifically for argon-based blends that use carbon dioxide. Empty cylinders are completely evacuated and purged before they’re filled using our patented eductor tube blending system.
Linde’s Stargon® SS gas blend is a carefully controlled blend of argon, carbon dioxide and nitrogen that is designed for joining a wide variety of stainless steels.
Linde’s Stargon® CS gas blend is a precise mixture of argon, carbon dioxide and oxygen. It is designed for use as a universal shielding gas for carbon steel welding applications. It operates well in all types of metal-transfer (i.e short-circuiting, pulsed and conventional spray, high deposition rotary arc).
Linde's Stargon® VS is an optimized blend of argon, helium and carbon dioxide formulated to perform well with all solid and metal-cored wires.
