Whether you’re an experienced welder or a beginner, you most likely understand the frustrations associated with spatter. Made up of small metal particles, spatter tends to stick to your workspace, your project and you and hardens as it cools, which can make cleanup a time-consuming chore. In addition, spatter can clog your torch head and causing wire feed issues and burnback, resulting in downtime and equipment maintenance. 

While spatter cannot be completed eliminated, you can minimize it significantly with the use of anti-spatter welding solutions. Traditionally, anti-spatter is a petroleum- or water-based product that contains a silicone or similar ingredient that prevents the spatter from sticking. However, these products don’t last long and must be frequently reapplied.
