Community is one of our core values at Linde. As we work to achieve our mission of making our world more productive, we are committed to improving the communities where we live and work. From volunteerism to charitable contributions, our employees are consistently working to add significant and lasting value to the community. In addition to the external positive impact, such efforts not only help the community learn about Linde as a neighbor, but also help to develop and engage employees.
Today, we’d like to recognize our teams at the Linde Welding Gas & Equipment Centers in Hammond and Hobart, Indiana for their remarkable work with the Hobart Food Pantry. The Hobart Food Pantry is dedicated to providing for the needs of the people by collecting and distributing food and grocery products, educating the community about hunger and collaborating with others who address basic human needs.
First, the Linde Hobart team organized a collection at their store, where they acquired a variety of items to donate to the Hobart Food Pantry, including nonperishable food items and toiletries. After delivering the items to the Hobart Food Pantry, the Hobart and Hammond teams then spent the rest of the morning unloading additional delivery trucks, restocking the Pantry shelves and bagging food for families to pick up the following day.
The Hobart Food Pantry is a 100% volunteer organization. It is with the support of volunteers like our Linde team members that helps the Hobart Pantry continue to serve families in need and carry on doing incredible work in their community. The Pantry serves approximately 180 households per week and upward of 250 families per week during the holidays.
A job well done to the following Hammond and Hobart team members: Joe Muting, Sr., Joe Muting, Jr., Mike Chovan, Mike Dutcher, Jacob Wulffen, Kelly Marquand, Les Gabel, Bill Emery, Brent Reithel and Dave Dalton. Keep up the good work!
