Hydrogen Pipelines

Globally Linde operates seven hydrogen pipeline systems that supply our customers with nearly one billion standard cubic feet of hydrogen each day. Linde’s U.S. Gulf Coast hydrogen pipeline system, one of the largest in the world, spans approximately 300 miles from Freeport, Texas to Lake Charles, Louisiana. Integrated into this system is the industry’s first and only commercial hydrogen storage cavern. This storage cavern enables us to meet customers’ planned and unplanned peak demands and allows our system to respond instantaneously to changes in customer requirements.  Our Pipeline Business Center controls and monitors each of our pipeline systems to ensure critical customer process demands are met — such as purity, flow rates and pressures.
