Our South Texas Linde team members had a great time sponsoring the 2023 San Antonio Livestock and Rodeo Junior Agriculture Mechanics Show, proudly representing Linde in the community and supporting the future of agricultural mechanics! Learn more about the event here.

Community is one of our corporate values at Linde, and community engagement at Linde is an integral part of making our planet world more productive. From volunteerism to charitable contributions, our employees are consistently working to provide significant and lasting value to the community.

With that being said, we’d like to highlight our South Texas Linde team members for their involvement in the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo’s Junior Agricultural Mechanics Show!

Rodeos are a staple of Texas culture, providing great value for agriculture and education to develop the future of innovators in agriculture. The San Antonio Livestock and Rodeo’s Junior Agriculture Mechanics Show (JAM show) encourages, recognizes, and rewards the learning and development of skills through the design, construction, and exhibition of agricultural projects. These contests showcase the outstanding leadership, technical abilities and accomplishments of our Texas youth. Teams or individuals create their own drawings/blueprints, including the cost of build and material, and present to a panel of judges in a sales presentation.

This year’s 2023 show judged 797 entries from 272 schools/clubs from all over Texas. Projects were categorized in 14 divisions and ranged from utility trailers to lowboy gooseneck flatbeds, as well as vintage restored tractors, wildlife observation blinds, livestock chutes and pens, trailered and standalone BBQ and firepits, outdoor furniture, truck beds and bumpers.

The 2023 JAM show raised $202,000 in scholarships this year, with another $375,000 of in-kind donations made possible by dedicated sponsors such as Linde. Our Linde representatives, namely Dennis Weber, David Laxson, Chris Stylling, Brandon Diaz and John Hijar, had a great time manning the Linde booth and were able to engage with thousands of students representing the future of agriculture. Congratulations to the 2023 JAM show winners for all their hard work, and great job Linde team for showing their support!
